To attract new investments and large projects, Nashik Industries and Manufacturers Association (NIMA) recently organised a 2-day event in Mumbai. The main objective was to portray Nashik as the emerging industrial hub and also to showcase development of Nashik over the years and the locations for the possible investments.
During the event Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “India is witnessing the investment in the manufacturing sector be it domestic or FDI and at that time we started off with Make in Maharashtra and every part of Maharashtra has gained some investments but the major part of investment is going to Pune.”
He added, “When manufacturing in Mumbai got congested it started migrating to Pune, Nashik and Aurangabad. Today the situation is same in Pune as the city already has developed many industrial ecosystems resulting in space constraint and in this situation the spill over can be migrated to Nashik and this is an opportunity for Nashik.”
