ANDRITZ HYDRO opens regional office in Jammu

ANDRITZ HYDRO Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Austrian technology group ANDRITZ, has furthered its presence in the Indian market by setting up a new regional office in Jammu city, Jammu & Kashmir.
The new office was inaugurated in the presence of Chaudhary Lal Singh, Minister of Forest, Ecology & Environment, Government of J&K; Navin K. Choudhary, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of J&K and R.N. Sahay, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K. The company’s Management Board, Josef M Ullmer, MD and CEO; Mahadevan Anand, MD and CMO and other senior dignitaries were also present in the inaugural function.
ANDRITZ HYDRO has been present in India for over two decades now and has a leading position in the hydropower sector. With its two state-of-the-art manufacturing factories in Prithla, Faridabad and Mandideep, the company has set-up a consolidated position in the hydropower sector and has already commissioned important hydroelectric projects in India including Karcham Wangtoo (1,000 MW) and Teesta III (1,200 MW).
