Powerinst Electromagnets Pvt Ltd, popularly known as Powerinst, is a renowned manufacturer of solenoid coils and the sub-assemblies for the electromagnetic products. The company’s existing market segment is electrical switchgear manufacturers all over India.
Commenting on Powerinst’s participation at ELECRAMA 2018, Ajit D. Kulkarni, Founder Member and Director, Powerinst Electromagnets Pvt Ltd said, “Exhibitions like ELECRAMA are opportunity for our businesses to grow and help us to get motivated. Our primary aim is to showcase the product range that we are manufacturing. The year-on-year growing product range will be an attraction to switchgear manufacturers as well as other sectors.”
At ELECRAMA, Powerinst will be displaying its newly developed ‘Magnetic Actuator’. “We are looking for new market, joint ventures opportunities, new overseas customers from ELECRAMA participation. We are venturing in manufacturing of electrical motors and exhibiting in ELECRAMA will be a good platform for product display,” said Kulkarni.
ELECRAMA wish listAlso, Powerinst is going to manufacture new products which would need new machines and testing setups. “We hope ELECRAMA could help us out by identifying potential suppliers for machines, testing setups and tech-savvies in new products,” Kulkarni anticipates.
In addition, Powerinst also expects new enquiries from overseas customers as they are presently exporting either directly or through their Indian representing companies. “We are going to welcome direct enquiries from overseas and also welcome collaborations or JVs proposals so as to focus on more export market,” he reveals.
Diversifying portfolio
Powerinst, along with manufacturing electromagnetic coil and sub-assemblies are manufacturing metering and protection class current transformers. Now, the company is going to instigate itself in motor segment. Kulkarni said, “At present we have developed PMDC normal and geared motor, universal motors for our customers. Also, we developed magnetic actuator that are used in auto re-closure which is going to be future need of Indian switchgear industry.”
