The company expanded its production footprint by boosting the manufacturing unit of solar module mounting structures.
Gautam Solar recently expanded its production footprint by boosting the manufacturing unit of Solar Module Mounting Structures by 10 times from 50 metric tons per month to 500 metric tons per month. Based in Haridwar, the state-of-the-art unit will produce SMM (Solar Module Mounting) structures for solar pumps, solar power plants (Utility-Scale and Rooftops) along with solar street lights, and high masts.
The unit’s expansion will allow Gautam Solar to cater to the ambitious renewable energy targets of the government. The structures have been designed to withstand wind speed up to 150 Kms/hour, adding to robustness and longer life. The products have been designed by an experienced team of structural engineers and approved by top-known structural engineering institutes.Expanding manufacturing capacity by 10 times from 50 metric tons per month to 500 metric tons per month is a huge jump for Gautam Solar as the company strives to achieve goals for the government’s renewable energy and net-zero targets taken by PM Modi in COP26. This is another step in Gautam Solar’s vision for horizontal integration and Atma Nirbhar philosophy where Gautam Solar is manufacturing all components of solar PV systems in-house viz. 250 MW solar module manufacturing (ALMM Approved), solar electronics (inverters, pump controllers, remote monitoring units), solar storage (lead-acid battery, Li-Fe battery, tubular gel battery) and solar module mounting structures.
“Earlier solar system integrators faced the issue of non-compatibility between the mounting structures and solar panels. Also, standalone structure manufacturers did not have an understanding of solar and missed minute but important issues related to integration. Gautam Solar’s integrated solution and inherent knowledge base of the solar industry helps in this. This way solar sis can execute and deliver their projects much faster as they are taking all components from a single manufacturer,” said Gautam Mohanka, Managing Director, Gautam Solar.
