EESL to identify new energy efficiency solutions

Energy Efficiency Services Limited, a joint venture of public sector undertakings under the Ministry of Power, Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) and Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), Government of India, in collaboration with Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (UP), and Climate Change Authority organised a round table discussion. The discussion revolved around measures to take Uttar Pradesh ahead on the path of energy conservation through innovative solutions.
The programme was inaugurated by Manoj Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, UP. As part of the first session, Anil Kumar, Secretary, UP NEDA, Vinamra Mishra, Director, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Animesh Mishra, Chief General Manager (EESL) graced the deliberation with their presence. In his address, Manoj Singh, (Additional Chief Secretary) emphasised on taking small and important steps for energy conservation. He also advocated for the adoption of zero-effect-zero-defect technology in industries and setting up off-grid solar power plants in rural areas.
Animesh Mishra, Chief General Manager, Energy Efficiency Services Limited, said, “Our mission is to unlock the potential of energy efficiency in otherwise untapped sectors, through innovative market centric business models. The energy efficiency projects and activities discussed in the consultation meet can be a part of State Action Plan of Climate Change, wherein, we will partner with several departments and ministries in Uttar Pradesh to make the state futuristic, sustainable and more energy efficient in the days to come. We will also leverage the schemes of other states and explore their synergies with our initiatives at EESL.”
