Hardik Kothiya, Director of RAYZON Solar Private Limited in an interview with EPR Magazine
Talking about Rayzon’s business plans, Hardik Kothiya, Director of RAYZON Solar Private Limited, says that they will continue to propel the solar industry forward by striking a balance between PV power and popularising renewable energy through continuous research, development, and innovation.
Kindly brief us about your organisation and its key offerings.
Rayzon Solar is a young, dynamic, and experienced solar photovoltaic module manufacturer with a 1.5 GW state-of-the-art facility in Gujarat, India. In 2014, we drew our vision, believing that our customers, partners, and communities should be able to use solar rays more straightforwardly to make their future more vibrant and sustainable. Rayzon Solar, founded in 2016, has embarked on a strategic expansion plan for its solar energy business. Since its inception, the company has earned trust by producing highly reliable photovoltaic modules for various domestic, commercial, and industrial applications. Rayzon, a leading manufacturer of PV modules and an innovative energy solution provider, provides world-class solar PV products, applications, and services to promote global sustainable development.
The idea behind the name Rayzon
Rayzon is made up of two words: RAYS and ON. It means that the sun’s rays should always fall on Earth so that we can use them as an infinite source of energy, and another meaning for Rayzon is to raise, which means that our company should always raise. We now believe in both philosophies, as the name implies. Our mission is to use the infinite source of renewable energy in such a way that our customers, partners, and communities can use solar rays to make their future more vibrant and sustainable. So, when we graduated from college in 2016, we were looking into business opportunities. We wanted to get into an industry that was about to boom. We conducted extensive research through various means, including meetings with businessmen and online searches. After conducting all of our research, we narrowed it down to two categories. We narrowed it down to two types: solar power and artificial intelligence. After much deliberation, my partner and I decided to pursue the solar business because artificial intelligence was still relatively new in 2016, and there was no proper guidance in this industry. However, for solar, there were already market participants from whom we could obtain a wealth of information. We learned a lot from them and continue learning from our competitors. That is why we are the most rapidly growing company in the solar module manufacturing industry.
Evaluating growth driversThe reason for our growth is the quality, trust, and reliability of our products. We provide one of the best Indian-made modules and deliver the same trust and quality across the world. We prefer certified and the best raw materials available on the market for our solar modules. The second reason for our growth is the relationship we have with our customers; our customers fully trust us in terms of quality and the after-sales service that we provide to our clients. We also believe that employees are an asset to the company.
Contributing to sustainability in natural ways
I am proud of the contribution that we are providing to nation-building. As we all know, the world is facing severe challenges in coping with global warming. To mitigate the issue, we contribute to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting using natural resources to make life easier.
I want to quote, “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.” So, we also believe that we are trying our best to help our customers in various situations, no matter how bad they may sound. If we can help our customers, we will help no matter the situation. So far, whatever we have achieved, all credit goes to our customers who taught us how to improve and what to improve.
Plans and projections
for 2025 We had a goal of 1.5GW in 2025, but we achieved it by 2022. But in 2016, we started a 40MW solar module production line, and further, we added production capacity from 2019 to 2021 by 110MW and 150MW. And this year, 2022, we almost achieved our production milestone, i.e., 1.5GW. It is rightly said that the “sky is the limit”, and by seeing the company’s growth, we again introspect and realise that Rayzon should work towards the broader vision of serving the nation. We are working toward achieving our upcoming milestones, i.e., to expand and set up a 5GW solar module production line by 2025, along with 1GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity. Also, we are looking toward making Rayzon truly an international brand. We believe in the vision of our PM, Narendra Modi, to make India vibrant. Rayzon, which is truly a brand which is made in India, wants to put into international souks to highlight Indian-made solar modules. We genuinely believe in our goal, as our team consistently delivers more than we expect. With the pace we are going at, I think we will try to achieve our goal earlier if possible
