NTPC registers growth of 11.6 percent to 295.4 BU

NTPC, the state-run company, recorded its highest-ever BU generation. NTPC recorded an increase of 16.1 percent, generating 254.6 BU during April–December of the year 2022 on a standalone basis. It also depicts a phenomenal growth in captive coal production by achieving 14.6 MMT of production. Its installed capacity is 70824 MW, and it has crossed 3 GW of renewable capacity.
NTPC, India’s largest power generation company, generated 295.4 BU between April and December 2022, an increase of 11.6 percent over the same period the previous year. NTPC generated 254.6 BU on its own from April to December 2022, a 16.1 percent increase over the previous year.
The coal plants have registered a PLF of 73.7 percent for the nine-month period in FY23, compared to 68.5 percent for the same period in FY22. The outstanding performance of NTPC attests to the expertise of NTPC engineers, operation and maintenance practices, and NTPC systems.
