“This is another major milestone for CyanConnode! This order is a testament of standards-based cutting-edge technology, our understanding of the Indian smart metering ecosystem and our core values of putting the customer first and be a true partner in progress. Montecarlo brings along a strong project implementation experience and we are confident that this partnership will only grow in strength. Our combined understanding and existing experience in Madhya Pradesh will be of immense value in executing this project successfully.
This is CyanConnode’s third project in Madhya Pradesh, following two Omnimesh deployments for Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Ltd. (MPWZ) in Indore. Indore’s smart metering project, which is already running on CyanConnode’s Omnimesh RF communication network, has become a case study that has been adopted by many other distribution companies (DISCOMs) across the country. The project was a success for the Indore DISCOM, which achieved a return on investment in only two and a half years.
Mrunal Patel, Joint MD of Montecarlo Limited, commented: “We are very pleased to be partnering with CyanConnode. Montecarlo comes with a strong and successful project implementation background and while this is our first foray into the smart metering business, we are confident that we will make this a successful case study for other projects. CyanConnode is a service provider and has a proven track record in implementing communications infrastructure for smart metering in India and I believe that our strengths will lead to further such opportunities and partnerships.”
Mrunal Patel, Prior to this order, CyanConnode recently received an order for 10 lakh Omimesh RF modules in Bihar, for which supplies have already begun. CyanConnode has solidified its position as India’s largest radiofrequency (RF) player, offering communications solutions for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). Its RF smart mesh networks are built for quick deployment while providing exceptional performance and a low total cost of ownership. CyanConnode has been operating in India since 2009, and its first smart metering project was completed in 2014. CyanConnode is currently active in ten states and has an order book of over 3.6 million nodes, with over 1.1 million modules already connected and communicating.
