What will be your focus at ELECRAMA 2023?

Our focus during the 15th edition of ELECRAMA will be on showcasing its new innovative and smart solutions from our core expertise of power cable accessories. Furthermore, we are constantly looking for ample opportunities to position India as the fulcrum of futuristic technologies and solutions required for sustainable growth, especially in energy and power.

The following actions can be taken to achieve the 2047 vision and 2030 mission strategically:

Strengthening the core: focus on energy transition, digitalisation, and supply chain security.

Enhanced penetration of electricity in allied sectors—focusing on buildings, transport, and industry.

Technology innovation and R&D: investing in world-class manufacturing and technology leadership across storage and green hydrogen.

Right skilling entails focusing on talent development, retention, and promotion.

Which products, solutions, and power accessories do you offer to the power and electrical sectors?

At Compaq International, we are the biggest power cable accessories producer. We cover the world’s leading and latest technologies, such as heat shrink, cold shrink, and pre-moulded type. We offer tailored solutions in cable joints and terminations, repair joints, connectors for MV switchgear, insulation tubing, flame-retardant tubing, triple-extruded tubing, etc. We are too equipped to commercialise our innovation of “smart cable terminations,” which will be integrated with voltage and current sensors. With broad requirements, especially in retrofitting existing networks, we are sure utilities will happily adopt it.

What cost-effective and robust solutions do you manufacture for the domestic and global markets?

Well, regardless of where Compaq International comes from, it unquestionably understands the robust and reliable solutions in the field of power cable accessories, whether in the domestic or global market. Being one of the biggest electrical accessories manufacturers, we always try to position ourselves as the frontrunner and most cost-effective supplier. Making all our products in India, we are again the first producers to reach this benchmark. We need more cost-effective, robust and reliable power cables.

Can you shed some light on your manufacturing capabilities?

Compaq International is equipped with the latest and most automated manufacturing capabilities. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing unit is located at Yamunanagar in Haryana, where we are extruding around 5000 km of tubing per year. We have advanced extrusion and expansion lines with many vital parts that have been improved to produce products with stable and homogeneous dimensions. Our state-of-the-art high-voltage laboratories are equipped with the most updated testing equipment, and we are covering almost all tests in-house as per IS and IEC standards.

What about the investments being made to improve your R&D for these products?

R&D can lead to innovations in the business, and increasing R&D investment and developing innovative products is the key to competing in the market. Each year, Compaq International invests significantly in research and development. Our research and development focus on developing and commercialising our businesses’ technologies, products, and solutions that are of strategic importance to our future growth.
