At ELECRAMA 2023, Delta Electronics introduces its New VP3000 AC Motor Drives and a Microgrid-based Green EV Charging Station.
Delta, a provider of power management and industrial automation systems, showcased the new Open-Loop Variable-Torque Standard Drive VP3000 Series and a smart microgrid-based green EV charging station were just a couple of the IoT-based smart green solutions.
The former is a comprehensive solution that integrates Delta’s EV chargers, energy storage systems, PV inverters, and EV Charging Infrastructure Management System to enable microgrids capable of supplying EVs with clean electricity while assisting in the grid stabilisation of the EV charging infrastructure.
With a high power rating of up to 630 kW, the new VP3000 Series improves productivity and reduces harmonic distortion (THDi) in industrial motors used in HVAC, pumps, compressors, and water supply applications down to 35 percent. Via its expanding manufacturing capabilities in Krishnagiri, Delta is a significant contributor to the “Made in India” effort and is becoming more dedicated to India’s transition to a greener industrial economy.

Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India, said, “For two decades now, Delta India has built a unique track record in developing tailor-made solutions to suit the requirements and sustainable goals of our Indian customers. We have cumulatively delivered over 7,000 EV chargers to our customers across the country, and the Green EV Charging Station launched today at ELECRAMA will help facilitate India’s e-mobility transition even further. The new VP3000 series is an important addition to our broad Industrial Automation Solutions offering for a wide range of applications. Today, we are demonstrating how Delta’s solutions transform transportation, factories, buildings, telecom power sites, and data centres into intelligent, connected, and sustainable infrastructure.”
The Green EV Charging Station at Delta’s stand was built using the company’s Smart Energy and EV Charging Solutions, which also include energy storage, solar PV inverters, and power conditioning systems with up to 97.8 percent efficiency and rapid power transfer times of 34 ms. Delta offers a range of EV charger solutions, including the 240kW DC charger for fast charging stations and the 22kW AC Max for domestic and commercial use.
The Open-Loop Variable-Torque Standard Drive VP3000 Series, created especially for the fluid industry to improve machine operating efficiency and lessen inverter harmonic wave distribution, was Delta’s second introduction. The VP3000 Series supports a variety of high-efficiency motor types, including induction motors, permanent magnet motors, and synchronous reluctance motors, and it has good driving performance and stability.
