Godrej & Boyce partners with Tecnimont for the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) project, the paraxylene-purified terephthalic acid (PX-PTA) project at the Paradip refinery in Odisha.
The flagship company of the Godrej Group, Godrej & Boyce, stated that Godrej Process Equipment, a maker of custom-built process equipment, has shipped its heaviest piece of machinery, a Xylene Column, from its cutting-edge facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The 1000 MT of equipment is built for Tecnimont for the integrated paraxylene-purified terephthalic acid (PX-PTA) project at the Paradip refinery in Odisha.
The feedstock will be processed by the Xylene Column, resulting in the production of liquids and vapors. This column will be an essential part of the procedure, and this factory would provide fast access to feedstock for a 300-KTA operation to produce textile yarn.
By 2040, India’s annual demand for petrochemicals is predicted to triple to 80 million tonnes, increasing investment in new facility construction. As a result, there will be less need for similar imports. A number of future and ongoing large-scale projects have been made possible by developments in the petrochemical sector. Critical equipment is needed for such projects with strict protocols, and Godrej Process Equipment has the capabilities to manufacture and deliver such equipment.
