.

The transfer of indigenous technology for smart energy metres and electric vehicle chargers to industry partners was observed by Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
During the occasion, officials from C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram, the Additional Secretary, MeitY, Bhuvanesh Kumar, the Group Coordinator, MeitY, Sunita Verma, and other dignitaries were present.
Alkesh Kumar Sharma stated during his speech that the “Make in India, Make for the World” ambition of the Prime Minister may be realised by advancing industry-led technological indigenisation. He continued by saying that India has transformed from an importer to an exporter, and that as stakeholders driving the mission forward and industry partners, these changes will make India an “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.”
There is a sizable market for new and inventive products, and the main benefit of this technology is efficiency, which will result in a win-win situation for the technology’s creator and the industry, with benefits ultimately accruing to India.
While the nation is importing the same technology from overseas, Bhuvanesh Kumar stated in his speech that the creation of smart energy metres and electric vehicle chargers is a commendable undertaking. In the upcoming years, the demand for these two applications will increase significantly.
