NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL) and HPCL Mittal Energy Ltd. (HMEL) sign a MoU; HMEL to source 250 MW Renewable Energy from NGEL.

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and HPCL Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) in New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to realise green energy and green hydrogen objectives and the GOI’s efforts towards energy transition. In the presence of Mohit Bhargava, CEO (NGEL), and Harak Banthia, CFO (HMEL), General Managers V. V. Sivakumar and Girish Ghildiyal signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

In order to meet HMEL’s demand for 250 MW of RE-RTC (round-the-clock) electricity, the MoU anticipates working together in the field of renewable energy. It also calls for prospects to be explored in the market for green hydrogen and its derivatives (green ammonia and green methanol).
