IREDA’s participation underscored its commitment to contributing to the global Renewable Energy landscape and promoting sustainable development practices.
In Munich, Germany, recently, the three-day “Intersolar Europe 2023” exposition was attended by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA). To inform attendees about the organisation, IREDA, a Mini Ratna (Category-I) Government of India firm under the administrative jurisdiction of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, erected a pavilion during the event. The pavilion offered visitors the chance to learn about IREDA’s efforts to finance renewable energy projects, promote energy efficiency, and aid the expansion of the renewable energy sector in India. The pavilion also provided a venue for networking and investigating prospective commercial opportunities with IREDA, particularly during the vital period of the energy transition and IREDA’s proposal for an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Pradip Kumar Das, the CMD of IREDA, opened the pavilion. Speaking about IREDA’s involvement at the event, the CMD stated: “Intersolar Europe provides IREDA with a valuable chance to showcase our achievements and expertise in the field of renewable energy financing. We feel honoured to have taken part in this prestigious event. It gave us the opportunity to interact with international stakeholders in order to promote collaborations, share ideas, and accelerate the transition to a greener and more sustainable future.
The team from IREDA met with representatives from the KfW Development Bank at the expo to discuss potential future partnerships for the support of cutting-edge renewable energy technology, review the status of the current line of credit, and provide technical help. In order to investigate joint venture prospects and strengthen alliances, a meeting was also arranged with Commerz Bank, a German institution.Additionally, IREDA representatives paid a visit to RCT GMbH in Konstanz and gave a brief presentation on their international operations. The two parties addressed the technology, project milestones, and capital and operating expenses. RCT GMbH is the company providing the technology for the Indosol Solar Manufacturing project.
The involvement of IREDA in “Intersolar Europe 2023” demonstrates its dedication to advancing renewable energy technologies and promoting sustainable development principles. IREDA continues to play a crucial role in India’s journey towards reaching its Renewable Energy targets and addressing the challenge of climate change through cooperative efforts and creative solutions.
