NTPC exceeds 73 GW of installed capacity of power generation

NTPC, India’s largest integrated power generator, has a total installed capacity of 73,024 MW for electricity generation. This includes the installed capacity of the power plants owned by NTPC, which is 57,038 MW, as well as the installed capacity of the 15,986 MW power plants held by NTPC’s subsidiaries and joint ventures.
With the completion of Stage-I (3 x 660 MW) of the Bihar-based Barh Super Thermal Power Project, Unit-2, which has a 660 MW capacity, the group’s total installed capacity surpassed 73 GW.
50 NTPC Stations (26 Coal-based, 7 Gas-based, 1 Hydro-based, 16 Renewable Energy-based) and 39 Joint Venture and Subsidiary Stations (9 Coal-based, 4 Gas-based, 8 Hydro-based, and 18 Renewable Energy-based) are included in this.The achievement reaffirms NTPC’s dedication to providing the Nation with reliable and reasonably priced power. A further commitment made by the corporation is to reach 60,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
