TPREL and ANAND Group sign a 4.4 MW AC group captive solar plant PDA

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a prominent renewable energy firm in India and a subsidiary of Tata Power, has entered into a Group Captive Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) for 4.4 MW AC with the ANAND Group, a global leader in the automotive systems and parts industry.
In line with this agreement, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited will facilitate the production of 10 million units of clean energy from renewable sources. The initiative is projected to eliminate approximately 5500 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, closely aligning with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited’s mission of fostering a more environmentally friendly and cleaner future for its Commercial and Industrial (C & I) clientele. By harnessing the potential of renewable energy alongside sustainability-driven entities like the ANAND Group, Tata Power seeks to establish a precedent for other businesses to embrace eco-conscious energy solutions.
Mr. Ashish Khanna, CEO of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, remarked, “We are pleased to support the ANAND Group as it embarks on its clean energy transformative journey. Previously, Tata Power and the ANAND Group collaborated on a 10.1-MW Solar PV Park project situated in Maharashtra, India. This recent Group Captive PPA exemplifies the synergistic efforts of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited and the ANAND Group in advocating for the adoption of renewable energy, resulting in tangible environmental advantages. It also highlights Tata Power’s proficiency in innovative energy solutions and ANAND’s dedication to sustainable business practices.This approach provides cost-effective renewable energy access for multiple participants, aligning with the government’s sustainability objectives.
With this addition, the total renewables capacity of TPREL reaches 7,787 MW including 3,655 MW projects under various stages of implementation and its operational capacity is 4,132 MW, which includes 3,139 MW solar and 993 MW wind.
