The groundbreaking N-type TOPCon Solar Modules from Gautam Solar, which made a sensation earlier this year with solar developers, EPC companies, and distributors at Intersolar Europe, will be featured at the RE+ 2023 exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada. As proof of Gautam Solar’s dedication to providing high-quality products, these Modules have received certification from UL, the most renowned international testing and certification company in the US.
The company’s Mono PERC Solar Modules, another well-known item in its catalog and one that is also UL-Certified, have already dominated the Indian market.
Additionally, for their clients in the US, Gautam Solar will provide Free Solar Power Plant Design and Remote Monitoring Service.
CEO of Gautam Solar, Gautam Mohanka, stated, “RE+ 2023 provides us a great opportunity to showcase our technically-superior Solar Modules and highlight the best of Indian manufacturing to a global audience of Renewable Energy Professionals. Our technologically advanced N-type TOPCon Solar Modules got great response in Europe and we’re confident that they’ll be received well at RE+ as well. We’re also adding Solar Power Plant Design and Remote Monitoring Services at no extra cost for our customers to provide a more comprehensive solar solutions package.”
In comparison to polycrystalline and full-cell Monocrystalline solar modules, these N-type solar modules use half-cut cells built on a larger M10 Wafer to provide greater power generation per unit area. The solar power plant’s LCOE decreases as a result. Additionally, it offers improved low-light performance.
During the production process, other contemporary cell technologies are also used, such as Round Ribbon Connectors to assure greater light usage, Non-Destructive Cell Cutting to increase reliability and reduce the likelihood of microcracks, and Multi-Busbar Technology to reduce electrical losses. The ideal module size employing M10 Cells helps to guarantee maximum space utilisation in a typical 40-foot shipping container, which is most frequently utilised. These modules are offered in monofacial and bifacial configurations, with the latter featuring a light-weight transparent Backsheet to ensure 10-30 percent power gain (depending on installation) from the module’s rear side.
Aside from that, N-type TOPCon Solar Modules degrade at a lower rate (1 percent in the first year and 0.4 percent year on year) than P-type Solar Modules (2 percent in the first year and 0.55 percent year on year), ensuring the longevity of the solar project. They give 5 percent additional generation per year, as well as BOS savings of 3.26 percent and LCOE savings of 1.56 percent.
The Mono PERC Solar Modules incorporate all of the aforementioned technologies, including larger M10 cells, Half-Cut Cell Technology, Round Ribbon Connectors, Non-Destructive Cell Cutting, and Multi-Busbar Technology, and are available in both monofacial and bifacial configurations.
Gautam Solar manufactures these solar modules in its state-of-the-art factories in Haridwar, India, but it also has ambitions for a 1 GW Solar Module Manufacturing Facility in the United States.
