Smart metering technology is crucial for reducing Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses in India, addressing issues like unrecorded energy consumption, theft, and inaccuracies in billing. Additionally, establishing a reliable communication network is crucial, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
