Godrej & Boyce announces commissioning of 25MW AC ground-mounted solar project in Maharshtra

This expansive installation, spanning over 52 hectares, at Dhule in Maharashtra, is set to generate an impressive 45 million units annually, supplying power to the open market and contributing to Maharashtra’s renewable energy ambitions.

Godrej & Boyce has announced the commissioning of a 25MW AC ground-mounted solar project in Dhule, Maharashtra for the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited. This expansive installation, spanning over 52 hectares, is set to generate an impressive 45 million units annually. The solar plant will supply power to the open market, contributing to Maharashtra’s renewable energy ambitions. This project marks a significant milestone in Godrej & Boyce’s commitment to sustainable energy and environmental stewardship. The project will be implemented by Electricals & Electronics, business of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.

Custom-designed structures with varied heights and wind resistance capabilities were designed to ensure maximum efficiency, despite the complex topography. This large-scale project, which enhances Mahagenco’s total capacity to 428.02 MW, highlights the adaptability and technological strength of the business in executing challenging solar installations.
