Envision’s Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) are designed with advanced specifications, featuring a 182-meter rotor diameter and a hub height of 140 meters, making them an ideal configuration for the wind and site conditions prevalent in India.
Envision Energy India announced that it has signed up with Juniper Green Energy (JGE) for supply of 200 nos. of EN 182 | 5MW Turbine Platform and our maiden 320 MWh BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems). JGE will deploy the WTGs for various projects won under State & Central auctions and the BESS package for the Firm Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project awarded by SJVN under its first FDRE auction.
Envision’s Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) are designed with advanced specifications, featuring a 182-meter rotor diameter and a hub height of 140 meters, making them an ideal configuration for the wind and site conditions prevalent in India. This 5 MW turbine platform has already demonstrated proven performance in high-growth markets such as the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China. Notable features of the platform include an enhanced annual energy output (AEP), which is over 40% higher than the current 3.3 MW platform, ensuring optimal energy generation. Additionally, it offers the lowest Levelised Cost of Energy (LCoE), contributing to cost efficiency. The design also minimises the number of land parcels required, thereby reducing the challenges associated with acquiring rights of way, making it a practical and efficient choice for wind energy projects.
Envision’s energy storage solution with 5MWh 20-feet containerised storage unit will be powered by high-safety, high-performance Lithium Ion 315Ah cells and same will be integrated through an AIoT-based Energy Management System with the 3.45 MW PCS unit, with each of these three elements designed and manufactured by the Envision group in compliance with the highest global standards. Envision will provide comprehensive lifecycle operation and maintenance services.
Naresh Mansukhani, CEO, Juniper Green Energy commented, “These two landmark agreements with Envision Energy India represent a significant advancement in our strategic partnership, building upon the successful 300 MW order for EN156/3.3 WTGs earlier this year. Envision has consistently proven itself as a leader in providing cutting-edge and high-performance renewable energy solutions. They are a trusted partner in our mission to reshape the energy landscape. Together, we are poised to achieve our ambitious goal of establishing 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, solidifying our leadership position within the burgeoning green energy sector. We are confident that this collaboration will significantly accelerate our contributions to India’s energy transition and its sustainability objectives”.RPV Prasad, MD, Envision Energy India Pvt. Ltd. said, “It is a proud moment for us to take our business relationship with Juniper a step further through these deals for Wind Turbines and Battery Storage. This maiden energy storage supply to Juniper opens a new market for Envision Energy India and further strengthens our resolve to support industrial decarbonisation efforts of our customers. With a Customer-First approach, laser focus on Quality and Safety, we strive to deliver optimal energy solutions to our customers.”
Kane Xu, Senior Vice President, and President of International Product Lines at Envision Energy, commented on the initiative: “Battery storage technology is a cornerstone of sustainable energy systems, and we are delighted to contribute our leading technology to this maiden project with Juniper in India. We are collaborating to accelerate the green energy transition in India and contribute to shape renewable energy landscape.”
Recently, Juniper Green Energy also signed an agreement with First Solar for the procurement and supply of 1 gigawatt (GW) of advanced Series 7 FT1 cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film photovoltaic (PV) modules, showcasing its commitment to adopting cutting-edge solar technology. Additionally, the company has signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with key entities, including SJVN, GUVNL, and NTPC, further strengthening its renewable energy portfolio. These partnerships highlight Juniper Green Energy’s dedication to advancing India’s renewable energy goals by providing clean, sustainable power to state and national grids.
