Goldi Solar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SN Patel Institute of Technology, R. N. G. Patel Institute of Technology, and UKA Tarsadia University to nurture and develop industry-ready talent. This strategic partnership aims to create a skilled workforce to support India’s renewable energy ambitions by training over 600 final-year students. The initiative will focus on developing industry-ready talent in disciplines like Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering, as well as MBA programmes.
Under these MoUs, Goldi Solar will offer specialised certification courses, spanning 3 months, in solar module manufacturing. Students will gain hands-on experience through industrial visits to the company’s cutting-edge facilities in Navsari, Pipodara, and its new Kosamba plant. Tailored programmes will provide in-depth training in solar technology, installation, and maintenance, complemented by collaborative research projects between students and faculty to foster innovation in renewable energy solutions. Goldi Solar’s Navsari plant, equipped with a dedicated training facility, will serve as a hub for technical collaborations with the partnering institutes and the university.
The partnership goes beyond training, with Goldi Solar offering internships and job placements to final-year students. Skilled graduates will also have opportunities to join Goldi Solar’s workforce, supporting the company’s growing operations. The company plans to expand its offerings with more industry-focused courses and specialised training programmes to ensure sustained skill development. This initiative also aligns with the nation-building vision of the Skill India mission, empowering youth with critical skills to contribute to the renewable energy sector’s development.
Speaking on the MoU signing, Capt. Ishver Dholakiya, Founder & Managing Director, Goldi Solar said, “Aligned with the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas,’ we are proud to partner with these prestigious institutes to promote skill development and take a step towards meeting India’s ambitious renewable energy goals. This MoU underscores our commitment to nurture and develop industry-ready talent in the renewable energy sector by providing quality education and practical training. Through this collaboration, we aim to build a robust workforce equipped with industry-relevant skills, fostering innovation and contributing to nation-building.”India’s renewable energy sector faces a projected shortfall of 1.2 million skilled workers, with demand expected to grow by 26% by 2027. Emerging areas such as cell manufacturing, battery storage, and advanced grid integration require an additional 1.7 million skilled professionals. Goldi Solar’s initiative directly addresses this challenge, preparing future engineers and management professionals to excel in this fast-evolving sector.
This strategic partnership reaffirms Goldi Solar’s commitment to building a sustainable future by investing in education, innovation, and workforce development for India’s renewable energy industry.
