NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), emerged a successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) as part of a tender for the “Selection of Solar Power Developers for Setting up 2000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV Power Projects in India under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding.
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has achieved a significant milestone by emerging as a successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The auction was held as part of a tender for the “Selection of Solar Power Developers for Setting up 2000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV Power Projects in India under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding,” conducted on January 3, 2025.
NTPC REL secured an impressive capacity of 1000 MW, half of the total tendered capacity, at a competitive tariff of Rs. 2.56/kWh. This achievement underscores NTPC REL’s strong position and commitment to contributing to India’s ambitious renewable energy targets. The successful bid aligns with NTPC’s overarching vision of spearheading India’s transition to a sustainable and green energy future.
The Letter of Award (LOA) from UPPCL is awaited, and once formalised, this project will mark another significant step in NTPC REL’s expanding portfolio of solar energy initiatives.
