Genus has several successful AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) projects to its credit in India. The company will therefore showcase its one such AMI solution capability comprising of three technologies together i.e. RF communication, GPRS/GSM communication and PLC communication with the common HES software. This is a unique solution of its kind implemented first time in the country, claims Agarwal.
He adds, “We are ready with and have been developing smart meters for Indian and international clients in accordance with the evolving national and international standards and contributing aggressively. Our manufacturing facilities have been upgraded to support the smart meter production for domestic as well as for the global needs. We are the foremost company in India that has deployed smart meters in smart grid pilot projects with various utilities. Obviously smart meters will find a prime place in our display of products.”
Genus will also be showcasing its recently launched Smart Online Prepayment metering solution. The smart prepaid solution is an online solution where smart meter is used as measuring device and all the financial transactions are carried out at the server end. “With the use of smart meter utility is always connected with meter and have total control of it. Financial transactions at server end enable a utility to have faster and better control of all the changes in tariffs, government duties, and rebates,” informs Agarwal.

Talking about what the company desires to achieve out of participating in ELECRAMA, Agarwal said, “Our participation in this event (ELECRAMA 2018) is not targeted towards sales. The major idea behind the participation is to attract prospects for national and international markets for our metering and power back up products and solutions. We are looking for channel partners in India and African countries and we feel that the ELECRAMA is one of the best mediums to meet the right prospects.”
He adds, “We are also looking for a platform to serve society with our reliable and quality products and solutions to establish GENUS as a most trusted brand globally.”
