Hartek targets Smart Cities
.

We will be targeting more Smart City tenders at the state and central level in the power infrastructure space.

Hartek Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Hartek Group

Based in Chandigarh, the Hartek Group is one of India’s fastest growing companies catering to the power sector through five strategic business units — power systems, rooftop solar, power distribution products, fuel services and value-added services. Participating in ELECRAMA for the third time, Hartek will be primarily showcasing its services as a leading EPC company which offers unmatched quality and excels in timely execution, informs Hartek Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Hartek Group. He adds, “Our focus will be on the substation projects completed by us and clean energy. Known for our uncompromising quality standards and timely execution of projects, we have been able to create immense value in the transmission and distribution value chain, which has helped us bag sizeable orders from many big players.”

Hartek has executed about 150 high-voltage and extra high-voltage substations and transmission lines. “We are also passionate about sustainable energy solutions and plan to foray into the rooftop solar segment in a big way,” said Singh.

Hartek Group also manufactures a complete range of power distribution equipment or solutions catering to the needs of the industry as well as utilities under Hartek India Pvt Ltd.

Recent performance
Commenting on the group’s performance, Singh said, “The current financial year has been a great year of us. All our business verticals have grown at an impressive pace. We also recently achieved the 1-GW mark in connecting solar projects to the grid. Our execution and design capabilities are our core strengths.”

In the last edition of ELECRAMA, Hartek had showcased its then newly introduced mobile testing van service, a first service of its kind operating PAN India. Equipped with hi-tech gadgets and testing instruments, the van is just a phone call away to rectify faults and carry out repairs at power projects and substations.

Unlocking opportunities in smart cities
According to Singh, Hartek Group would be targeting more Smart City tenders at the state and central level in the power infrastructure space. He said, “Be it upgrading existing conventional grids to automated grids or complete power augmentation of cities, we at the Hartek Group strive to offer unmatched services to all our consumers through our world-class execution skills.”

He further informs that the company would continue to contribute significantly to build a state-of-the-art transmission and distribution (T&D) network based on smart grid applications like SCADA, which can go a long way in catering to efficient power supply. “After all, smart grids make smart cities,” opines Singh.

ELECRAMA Wish List
Hartek Group aspires to become market leaders in providing smart-grid power solutions. Talking about what the company wishes to accomplish from ELECRAMA, Singh said, “This mega event will act as a great forum for exploring the scope for investments and share our experiences with customers and vendors. The feedback we get from customers and vendors, thanks to this industry platform, will go a long way in helping us improve our business processes and strategies as well as services. This way, we are able to create more value for our customers, which happens to be the driving force behind all our business processes.”

Future road map
At present, Hartek would like to consolidate on its strengths and building on its diversified portfolio rather than coming up with any new announcement. “Focused on developing a sustainable power ecosystem, we will be foraying into small-scale solar. We will also build on our rooftop portfolio in the commercial, industrial and residential segments. In the T&D segment, we will be going for the higher voltage class by upgrading to 400 KV and above from 220 KV, 132 KV and 66 KV,” informs Singh.
