“Our products are designed to provide circuit protection even in extreme conditions.” – Nitheen Nataraja – Director of Sales & Marketing, CHINT India Energy Solution Private Limited. In an interview with EPR Magazine.
Chint was one of the key exhibitors at ELAsia 2022 this year. Chint experienced this expo as a fresh experience to meet with the industry in person after Covid hit years. In addition, Chint received an award for having the second-best stall at ELAsia 2022. “Our key focus during the event was to interact with the consultants and panel builders, which allowed us to understand the market and the local requirements better,” says Mr Nitheen Nataraja.
Chint Global is known for HV, MV, and LV Switchgears including applications for solar and automation solutions. During the exhibition, Chint launched the product AC 800V MCCB, ranging from 800 volts to 1140 operating voltage. This product has been specially designed for applications in the solar segment. On display, we also had products and applications for industries like EV charging, Elevators, HVAC application, and diesel generators.
Key features and applications
We recently introduced our high-voltage MCCB, known as the NM8N(HV) MCCB. When talking about power generation in India, we usually refer to up to 690 volts. Power generation and operational voltage in India are generally geared toward subsequent work. So, whenever we talk about solar, we usually mean higher voltage, ranging from 800 to 1000 volts. We require a product that must make and beak during normal operation and break under the abnormal fault conditions at higher operational voltage. There are currently very few players offering these types of solutions, and Chint is one of them with our new NM8N(HV)MCCB rated up to 630A and a fault-breaking capacity of up to 50kVA. We can offer this to solar segments where power is generated at a higher voltage. These NM8N(HV) MCCBs can be used in regular operation for solar applications, solar power plants, and various other renewable applications which can reduce the operating cost of utility and increase the current photovoltaic systems helping the go green initiative in India.
Complying with smart requirements
Operating under high-voltage and current heavy conditionsLet’s say that this is a fundamental and primary requirement for efficient switchgear, as it is designed to offer circuit protection even under abnormal conditions such as high voltage and high current. Our products have been tested and proven in a variety of applications. When it comes to power consumption, the electrical industry is heavily reliant on it. All products of Chint provide optimum protection through its derivatives, as it’s our best product and services that keep us close to our customers. The service aspect is something that we extend value addition across India. Additionally, all our products are designed as per both Indian and international standards of safety and quality. We are also one of the certified companies for green energy and have received third-party certification for carbon footprint verification through a range of our products.
