What is the present market demand for earthing and earthing accessories in the Indian electrical sector?
The present scenario is better than the years 2020–21. We are now seeing movement in the projects that were put on hold due to the pandemic and have seen them improving steadily at a growth rate of 5-6 percent. However, the old business volumes have not yet been reached.
Looking at the increasing safety concerns, how are the industry and the consumer segment responding to the need for safe and reliable earthing solutions?
The industry is responding positively, and environmentally friendly products backed by the latest standards and certifications are being looked for. A great deal of awareness is already present in the consultant and client fraternity, which is generating demand for products backed up with certifications, maintenance-free nature, and long life.
How challenging is it to find cost-compliant quality products and solutions?
This has always been challenging as the client and consultants were always looking for better priced solutions. Ensuring high quality and constant innovation while being cost-compliant is always a challenge and a requirement.What are your offerings for earthing protection and lightning arresting solutions?
Axis provides 360-degree products and services for earthing and lightning protection, from copper-bonded, solid steel earth rods and pipe and plate earthing to lightning arresters and accessories. In addition to the products, we also have Axis Risk Assessment Software to help design the projects.
Who are the primary consumers of these products?
Different business segments: Defence, PWD-CPWD, government funded projects, Residential and commercial real estate industry, Institutional businesses, Renewable -Solar and Wind, Warehousing, Food, Pharma and Chemicals, and also industrial, government, and infra projects.
What are your other key solutions and offerings in earthing and other major areas?
We generally try to cover a total full-stop solution at our end covered under the IS IEC 62305 and IS3043 standards. We back it up with design, risk analysis and various material alternatives covering earthing, lightning protection solutions, SPDs and equipotential bonding solutions under one roof.
