BC Jindal Group to invest ₹15,000 cr in Odisha

Promoters of the BC Jindal Group discussed plans with the CM, Mohan Charan to expand its steel production capacity in the state.
The Promoters of BC Jindal Group met Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi and minister of Industries & Skill Development and Technical Education, Sampad Chandra Swain in New Delhi to discuss fresh investments to the tune of ₹15,000 crore in the state.
Shyam Jindal, Anubhav Poddar and Ankit Agarwal, promoters of the BC Jindal Group, discussed Jindal (India) Limited’s plans to expand its steel production capacity by investing in the state of Odisha. In line with this strategic move the company is projected to make an investment of Rs 15,000 crore by 2030.
Speaking on the occasion, Shyam Jindal, Promoter, BC Jindal Group, said, “We thank Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi and Minister, Sampad Chandra Swain for giving us the opportunity to discuss Jindal (India) Limited’s expansion plans for Odisha. We are confident of playing a constructive role in contributing to Odisha’s economic growth journey.”Jindal (India) Limited, part of prestigious BC Jindal Group and one of the leading downstream steel products manufacturers in India, has two state-of-the-art factories located at Howrah, West Bengal and its capabilities include advanced color coating, galvanising, and galvalume technologies. Currently, 70 per cent of the company’s total production consists of coated flat steel products, which remains a key area of focus for future growth and expansion.
