The firm aims to increase its module manufacturing capacity from the current 3 GW to 14 GW by mid FY26.

Goldi Solar has announced its ambitious capacity expansion plans. Goldi Solar aims to increase its module manufacturing capacity from the current 3 GW to 14 GW by mid FY26. Additionally, Goldi Solar plans to build its cell manufacturing capacity to 4 GW by FY27, a crucial move aimed at reducing reliance on imports and strengthening India’s solar infrastructure.

The expansion will drive improvements across the company’s manufacturing processes, enhance production efficiency, and unlock new market opportunities in North, East and South India. To support this large-scale growth, Goldi Solar plans to increase its workforce by adding over 4,000 employees, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality solar solutions while meeting growing market demands.

Capt. Ishver Dholakiya, Managing Director and Founder of Goldi Solar, shared his vision for the company’s growth, “This capacity expansion marks a defining moment for Goldi Solar. We’re not just expanding our production capacity; we’re building a foundation for innovation and leadership in the renewable energy space. Our goal is to drive solar technology forward while empowering industries and communities to adopt sustainable solutions that will shape the energy landscape for generations. This expansion allows us to strengthen our commitment to excellence, attract top talent, and accelerate India’s energy independence, aligning with the global movement toward a greener future.”

In recent years, Goldi Solar has demonstrated substantial growth. The company’s turnover rose from Rs 600 crore in FY22 to Rs 1,750 crore in FY24, marking a remarkable 191.67% growth over the last three years. Additionally, Goldi Solar’s robust order book currently stands at ~Rs 5,350 crore, including Rs 4,550 crore in module manufacturing and Rs 800 crore in EPC contracts.

He added, “With new leadership and thousands of new professionals joining us, we are fostering a culture of innovation that will set new benchmarks in the industry. We’re ready to redefine what’s possible in solar energy, both in India and globally.”

Currently, Goldi Solar operates two advanced manufacturing plants in Pipodara and Navsari, Gujarat, with a combined capacity of 3 GW.  Expansion of the module capacity is proposed at its new facility in Kosamba, Gujarat.

As the world intensifies its focus on combating climate change, solar energy is playing a pivotal role in the global energy transition. By continually evolving its technology and expanding its capabilities, Goldi Solar is well-positioned to contribute significantly to sustainable energy solutions and India’s energy transition goals.
