Grew Energy secures 200 MW solar module contract with SECI

Domestic manufacturer poised to lead India’s renewable energy sector with cutting-edge technology and timely delivery.
An emerging sustainability brand in India Grew Energy, has secured the largest share, 200 MW, of the contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auction. The mandate involves testing, packaging, forwarding, supplying, and transporting the solar PV modules today. Grew is one of the few manufacturers capable of supplying domestically-made Solar PV modules with domestically manufactured solar cells.
The tender, released in December 2023, specifies the supply of uniform-sized crystalline technology modules to locations nationwide, in accordance with SECI guidelines. The delivery of the product and its spare parts must be spread over a nine-month duration.
Commenting on this glorious win, Vinay Thadani – CEO and Director, Grew Energy said, “We are proud to have won this mandate where many other MNRE-approved manufacturers had participated. We are equipped with the technology and have the bandwidth to contribute to multiple solar products across the country”.
The evaluated bid price is finalised at ₹ 22.66 per Watt peak (Wp) for all the 3 bidders creating a standardised rate for the supply of modules and also establishing preference to the upcoming subsequent auctions.Sharing his thoughts Hardip Singh – COO, Grew Energy said, “We are confident that we will not only be able to meet the manufacturing requirements but also achieve the delivery deadlines successfully.
