Community outreach programme engages 1000+ students, fosters diversity, and promotes inclusivity in India.
At Hitachi Energy, the company’s constant endeavour is to advance a sustainable energy future for all, extending beyond products and technologies in India. They actively contribute to society’s sustainable development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. As part of their ongoing efforts to create awareness on diversity and inclusivity, they initiated a community outreach programme, coinciding with the celebration of International Women’s Day.
Throughout this programme, spanning over a couple of weeks, the company reached out to 1000+ students from government schools in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Vadodara, with a special focus on girl students. Addressing health & wellness and life skills, their team of volunteers engaged, interacted, and mentored the students. Hitachi Energy employees conducted focus group discussions with all girl students (8th and 9th class) on various topics, including career and skill development. The team also organised fun-filled activities for all students to enhance engagement. The students responded positively by participating in all activities and flooding the team with curious questions. This initiative not only educates and empowers students but also underscores Hitachi Energy’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and diverse society. By engaging with students from diverse backgrounds, particularly focusing on girl students, they aim to instill valuable life skills and inspire future leaders in the field of energy and beyond. Hitachi Energy remains steadfast in its dedication to driving positive societal change and creating a more sustainable future for generations to come.
