IFGE: CBG producer forum is organising a two a global conference on compressed biogas on 17th-18th April. Theme of the forum is “towards progressive policy framework for a robust CBG foundation and growth.”
India is dedicated to achieving its net-zero target by 2070, and there are several initiatives taken by the current leadership and government by various means to reduce emissions. Compressed biogas (CBG) has also an important role to play in emission reduction, and it is being promoted by the SATAT scheme (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation). CBG has a higher calorific value and properties similar to those of CNG and can be utilised as an alternative green renewable that can replace CNG in automotive, industrial, and commercial areas, given the abundance of biomass availability within the country.
With the objective toapprise the industry regarding the initiatives taken by the Government of India for the development of the compressed biogas industry and to identify the areas where policy modifications are required, the IFGE-CBG Producers Forum is organising Two Day Global Conference on Compressed Biogas under theme “Towards Progressive Policy Framework for a Robust CBG Foundation and Growth” supported by the Ministry for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.
