Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), organised a tree plantation drive and slogan writing competition as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” campaign at SEVA-DHAM Plus in New Delhi. The event was graced by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director, IREDA and participated by children from SEWA-DHAM Plus.
Addressing the students, Pradip Kumar Das emphasised the crucial role of environmental protection and cleanliness in building a sustainable future. He said, “IREDA is committed to promoting sustainable development and contributing to a cleaner and greener India. We believe that our youth are the future of our nation, and their involvement in environmental conservation is essential for a healthier and more prosperous tomorrow.”
IREDA organised a tree plantation drive, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” and an awareness session for school children on renewable energy. Pradip Kumar Das, CMD, and the children planted saplings symbolising environmental protection. The children with IREDA officials also took the Swachhata Pledge to keep their surroundings clean.
A slogan writing competition on “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” encouraged creativity, with winners awarded for impactful slogans. Sadhvi Samta Ji, Director, SEVA-DHAM Plus, expressed her gratitude to IREDA for organising the event and for their contribution to the community.
