Jakson Green, the new energy transition platform backed by Jakson Group, an India-based infrastructure and renewables conglomerate, has received a prestigious solar EPC order from Amplus Solar, India’s leading distributed solar energy provider.
Jakson Green will deliver a state-of-the-art solar power plant on a turnkey EPC basis for Amplus Solar in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India, within 8.5 months of the partnership’s inception. The project will employ nearly 3,000 single-axis trackers and over 224,448 540Wp monocrystalline bifacial solar modules. When completed, the facility will be the size of 386 football fields, equivalent to the size of Lusail Stadium, which recently hosted the FIFA World Cup, and will offset over 3.1 million tonnes of CO2 per year, the equivalent of removing 558,100 fuel-engine cars from the road. The project is expected to supply power to leading commercial and industrial customers on a long-term basis, adding to the country’s corporate push to adopt green energy.
