NHPC highlights India’s hydropower capabilities at the ICOLD 2023

NHPC Limited, the largest hydropower development organization in India showcased its achievements at the ICOLD Annual Meeting 2023, Gothenburg, Sweden in the presence of R.P. Goyal. Director (Finance) & Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects).
The 91st Annual Meeting of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD 2023), which was held recently in Gothenburg, had participation from NHPC Limited, the largest hydropower development company in India. The attendees enthusiastically praised the papers and posters that the NHPC group presented on important problems encountered by hydropower companies. The NHPC delivered papers on a variety of subjects, such as problems with dam management and safety, controls for seepage, seismic difficulties, and dam repair and rehabilitation.
At the event, a unique pavilion highlighted the hydropower development capabilities of NHPC. Additionally, representatives from NHPC took part in deliberations of the ICOLD Technical Committee on Sedimentation and contributed their knowledge of sediment management for cascading projects.
With the exposure and expertise that its senior officials have acquired as a result of their participation in this important event, NHPC has benefited greatly.Director of Finance R.P. Goyal and Director of Projects Biswajit Basu were in charge of the NHPC delegation. The delegation was made up of Executive Director M.G. Gokhale, Group General Manager Raghvendra Gupta, General Managers Manjusha Mishra, Manoj Kumar Singh, General Manager R.M.A Khan, Deputy General Manager Dinesh, Deputy General Manager Sunil J. Ganvir, Senior Managers Pradeep Garnayak, Mainak Ghosh, Senior Manager Pallavi Khanna, and Manager Varun Agarwal.
