NTPC Aims to Install 5 GW of Capacity in FY25

With 60 GW of RE capacity and a 130 GW total portfolio, NTPC hopes to increase its non-fossil-based capacity to 45–50 percent of the company’s portfolio by 2032.
NTPC Ltd., India’s largest integrated power utility, has set a goal to add 5 GW of installed capacity, focusing on clean, dependable, and cost-effective energy solutions. This includes adding 3 GW of renewable energy (RE) capacity and 2 GW of thermal energy capacity. The company expanded its portfolio by 3,924 MW in FY24, increasing its total installed capacity to 76 GW, with 3.5 GW being operational RE capacity.
