NTPC to develop 630 MW solar power plant in ChhatarpurNTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL) subsidiary of National Thermal Power Corporation is advancing solar projects under the Solar Parks scheme.
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a key subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., moving forward with a significant solar power initiative will develop solar power plant in Chhatarpur, MP. The project, located in Barethi within Chhatarpur District, Khajuraho Lok Sabha Constituency, boasts a substantial capacity of 630 MW. It is being executed under the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) mode sanctioned by the MNRE as part of the Solar Parks scheme.
The necessary land for the project has already been transferred to NREL. NREL issued Notices Inviting Tender (NIT) for both the EPC Package and the Pooling Substation Package. The awarding of the tender is anticipated by September 2024. The project is slated for completion by March 2026.
