Ruchira Green Earth to set up Li-ion battery plant

Committed to the Make-in-India movement and rising demand from the EV segment, Ruchira Green Earth is looking to double its manufacturing capacity of Lithium-ion batteries.

Ruchira Green Earth, the manufacturer of lithium batteries and allied products, has targeted to establish a 200-crore plant. The company has already started commercial production in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana and is further enhancing its manufacturing capacity and transforming it with an aim to fulfil the rising demand for its exclusive product line.

Ruchira Green Earth produces a wide range of EV batteries under its flagship brand AKIRA. The company has been awarded contracts worth crores from OEMs such as Gemopai, Tunwal, Myantra, Benling, Komaki and many more for the supply of lithium-ion batteries for its electric two-wheelers – EV scooters.

Meanwhile, Ruchira Green Earth is looking to grab many contracts for the energy storage system, home storage and energy storage solutions from banks, hospitals, industries, and government contracts for villages, defence, railways and telecom sector, among others.
