Next-Generation Automation:
Schneider Electric unveiled the Lexium Cobot—a collaborative machine embodying advanced industrial robotics technology and next-gen automation. Engineered to work harmoniously alongside humans, the Lexium cobot exhibits delicate and meticulous movements utilising dynamic torque and speed monitoring. Its primary purpose is to heighten plant productivity and safety, while addressing labor shortages which currently result in up to 20 percent reduction in factory output. The Lexium cobot’s versatility allows it to perform applications that conventional industrial robots cannot.

Edge Control:
With the release of EcoStruxure Automation Expert V23.0, the world’s pioneering software-centric industrial automation system now provides software-based redundant automation solutions for the water desalination sector. This expansion transforms the EcoStruxure Automation Expert portfolio into a unified control software platform, fostering convergence across machine, hybrid, and process industrial operations. Enhancements in V23.0 involve heightened integration with AVEVA System Platform for efficient graphics reuse in system design, and a novel graphical editor for procedural automation to boost operational efficiency. The latest release also brings multi-OS compatibility, offering EcoStruxure Automation Expert HMI and archive support on both Linux and Windows, enabling uniform object development across compatible operating systems.

AVEVA:
Following its complete integration into Schneider Electric and functioning as an independent and autonomous entity, AVEVA presents a new vision for industrial software—an agnostic and cloud-enabled platform for collaborative data sharing within the connected industrial economy. The demonstration of AVEVA’s digital twin (the core of the industrial metaverse) will bring this concept to life. From initial asset design to optimisation, AVEVA showcases the value of well-managed industrial information in driving efficiency and sustainability.
