Siemens Led Consortium Awarded ₹ 377 Crore Contract to Electrify Mumbai Metro Line 2B
Siemens Limited, in collaboration with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), has been awarded a significant contract by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to undertake the electrification of Mumbai Metro Line 2B. Valued at ₹ 228 crore, Siemens Limited will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of advanced rail electrification solutions and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The scope of work encompasses 20 stations and one depot. As part of the consortium, RVNL will take charge of commissioning Receiving Substations (RSS) solutions, with their share amounting to ₹ 149 crore.
