The installation of rooftop solar panels is rapidly gaining momentum
.

Solar panels are revolutionising residential electricity usage by providing renewable energy sources, reducing electricity bills, and promoting sustainable usage through net metering programs.

In the field of renewable energy, solar power shines as a beacon of hope for a sustainable future. As countries around the globe adopt the transition to renewable energy sources, the use of solar panels has significantly increased, brightening up cityscapes and rural areas. Nevertheless, a crucial element is frequently disregarded, which is the mounting structure of the solar panels.

The solar panel mounting

The structure industry is anticipated to reach 62 billion by 2036. Undoubtedly, solar power has emerged as the most sought-after, clean, and sustainable source of electricity. As a result, many homeowners and businesses are considering the installation of rooftop solar panels. Approximately 40percent, or more than one-third in the housing sector, of the 1 TW installations that have already been put into service represent decentralised photovoltaic installations. Households install around 130 GW of PV systems, which account for approximately 25 million units. One crucial aspect of rooftop solar installation is selecting the right mounting structures.

Rooftop solar panel installation is growing

In particular, rooftop installations can take advantage of the available spaces in cities where ground space may be limited. Solar panels can be installed on rooftops without additional land requirements, making them an effective solution for residential and commercial buildings.

By producing electricity directly at the point of consumption, rooftop photovoltaic installations are providing energy independence. This will reduce reliance on the grid, particularly with electricity. With prices continuing to rise, it gives more control over energy costs. Using renewable energy sources and reducing reliance on hydrocarbons, photovoltaic panels mounted on rooftops help make the environment cleaner. They help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change, supporting a more secure future.

Significant progress has been achieved in producing green energy due to increasing awareness about climate change and worldwide warming. End-user (residential, commercial, or industrial): residential segment is expected to hold a share of 47 percent by the end of 2036. Due to the lower electricity costs, this segment is growing as consumers favour solar panel mounting structures.

The latest innovations in materials, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques have led to better and more sturdy mounting structures that can withstand various weather conditions and sustain solar panels for longer. As a result, the adoption of solar energy is increasing globally, and more people are switching to solar power to reduce their carbon footprint and save on energy bills. Over the next five years, solar PV and wind will account for 96 percent of the increase in renewable power capacity due to lower generation costs in most countries and continued policy support.

Agro Solar Europe has created an agrivoltaic mounting framework composed of organic materials weighing 90 percent less than traditional steel structures. The German firm used flax, charcoal, and wood fibre. UV Solar, based in Brisbane, Australia, has constructed a 9.135 kW solar power system on top of a local church on the city’s outskirts. The installation includes Goodwe’s new lightweight Galaxy 315 W solar panels, 10 kW SDT inverters from the Chinese firm, and an electric vehicle charger.

Finally, to meet the diverse needs of different regions, photovoltaic installations have been adapting and developing from crowded cities, such as those in North America, to Africa’s countryside. The global community continues to push the boundaries of solar technology, whether it is the innovative use of tracking systems for maximum efficiency in sunny climates or the integration of floating photovoltaic installations into water surfaces.
