“The difference between goals and mission is reflected in the difference between I want to get married and I want to have a successful marriage,” the quote exactly frames the attitude of a vision centric company aiming towards successful achievement of its mission. Green India Initiative as a social enterprise aims towards connecting each house in needy rural sectors of India with electricity through solar power. Operating in the rural villages is not an easy task, there are multiple obstacles, human interventions, coordination and transportation issues etc. makes more difficult than how it looks. Struggle is real for executing technological sound systems in remote areas and providing an asset to them, light. Process might be a big constraint but the happy ending generating a smile on needy people’s faces always motivates and generates an agitated behavior for contributing a lot more towards the cause. Social engineering imbibes the effectual thinking of social entrepreneurs towards contributing our bit to maximum level and brings a smile on the needy faces.
Mission – 1000 Solar electrified villages, a mission for providing around more than 1 million underprivileged with suffice Solar street lighting, water supply, powered schools and houses. While working in this field and accomplishing an aim of more than 100 villages in 5 years generated a sense of pride and satisfaction in the company for contributing towards the growth and success of our country India with a cleaner and greener source, renewable energy. The initiative’s view about the solar electrified villages is way different than how authorities view it. Installation of any product in the village has a solution along with it, but sometimes the concentration is only on the installation part and the outcome of it is ignored. Green India Initiative values the life of bottom of pyramid beneficiaries as well as the hard earned money of donor/ corporate doing corporate social responsibility to superiority and focus on the outcome of the project. More time to work for livelihood, study in ease, reside in peace, comfortable and fearless transport, save time on fetching water daily are some of the core basic outcomes which we focus on and ensure to bring in practice.
