The Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) offers a range of salient features that ensure its reliability and efficiency in electrical protection. It adheres to the standard IS/IEC 60898-1 and has a breaking capacity of 10KA for both B and C curves, enabling it to handle high fault currents effectively. With a trip-free mechanism, the MCB will trip internally even if the operating knob is kept in the ‘ON’ position, enhancing safety.
The MCB maintains consistency in tripping characteristics and utilises special alloy contacts for increased durability. The MCB provides thermal and magnetic protection, ensuring comprehensive protection against overloads and short circuits. Its watt loss is extremely low, promoting energy efficiency.
Available in a wide range of configurations, including 1P, 1P+N, 2P, 3P, and 3P+N, current ratings from 6A to 63A, and B and C tripping characteristics, the MCB caters to diverse application requirements.MCBs feature advanced construction, including a thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism, magnetic and thermal protection, finger protection, effective arc quenching, special alloy contacts, dual termination, padlocking facility, current limiting design (Class 3), bi-connect termination, DIN rail mounting, air circulation, and a position dolly.
