Red Lion’s Graphite® HMI operator panel series receives PESO certification

Red Lion’s Graphite® HMI operator panels with Crimson® automation software let customers connect, monitor, and control processes in harsh industrial environments.

Red Lion®, a global industrial technology manufacturer that helps organisations access, connect, and visualise their data, is pleased to announce that it has received Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) certification for its Graphite® HMI operator panel series, including its extension racks. PESO certification identifies Graphite® devices as ideal industrial automation solutions for use in hazardous environments, such as oil and gas installations, water and wastewater facilities, and mining areas. Red Lion’s Graphite® HMI operator panels with Crimson® automation software let customers connect, monitor, and control processes in harsh industrial environments. Graphite® HMIs feature reliable, resistive analogue touchscreens in rugged aluminium housing designed to operate in big shock, high vibration and extreme temperature environments. Standard and widescreen models are available in sizes 7 to 15 inches. The 7- and 10-inch models have UV-resistant, sunlight-readable displays for extended outdoor use.

Powered by Crimson® software, Graphite® HMIs can convert up to 20 industrial protocols simultaneously from a built-in library of over 300 supported drivers. Various module and expansion options are available to seamlessly augment and extend Graphite® HMI capabilities, tailor the panel for different applications, and meet various specifications and requirements. As an agency of the Government of India within the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, PESO (formerly the Department of Explosives) oversees and regulates the safety of hazardous substances throughout the country, including explosives, compressed gases and petroleum. PESO’s primary responsibility is to administer India’s Explosives Act, 1884, and Petroleum Act, 1934, and the rules there under with the motto “Safety First.”
