Power quality and efficient distribution are the primary aspects to be ensured when running a manufacturing setup. All of this has to be achieved given the space and safety constraints in an industrial scenario. Finder has stepped up to introduce a simple yet innovative solution to reframe the power distribution through its distribution terminal blocks. It is a snap-on design Din rail that fits a compact terminal block, enabling the entire wiring termination to go inside the block; hence, this new and safe distribution concept can replace Bus Bars’s conventional tapping and drilling. It will enable the user to use the block as a multi-point power splitter without being exposed to accidents.

How do smart meters with enhanced communication and bi-directional measurement benefit real-time energy consumption monitoring?
The visible shift in the trend for renewable energy usage has been the cornerstone to implementing the change in preferences downstream in all components. Both manufacturers and users have become wisely conscious of their energy consumption while considering monitoring it. This thought has propelled the demand for new-age smart meters that have enhanced communication protocols, bi-directional measurement, and multi-tariff for commercial billing purposes. Additionally, the data-centric focus has instilled in users the desire to monitor smart devices in real-time to see and analyse trends in their energy consumption.
How can IoT-enabled smart meters optimise energy trading and dynamic load management?
Integrating smart gridsandIoT technologies in decentralised power grids is poised to revolutionise the future of smart metering, creating a more interconnected, efficient, and resilient energy ecosystem. IoT integration in smart meters will enable real-time energy monitoring and management. In decentralised grids, prosumers (individuals generating and consuming energy) can trade surplus energy with others. IoT-enabled smart meters facilitate this by securely recording and verifying transactions.Dynamic load management can be done as IoT technologies enable smart meters to interact with appliances, EV chargers, and other devices, shifting energy consumption to align with renewable energy availability or lower tariffs. What are your expectations from this year’s budget, and how is the company preparing for ELECRAMA 2025?
We expect a boost to manufacturing and exports, which hold the key to development. This can be done by expanding PLI schemes, simplifying approvals, land acquisition, and compliance processes for manufacturers, and implementing measures to reduce export bottlenecks, such as duty rationalisation and simplified customs procedures. Moreover, the budget should be allocated more heavily to transportation, logistics, and urban development. Also, investments in 5G expansion, data centres, and broadband connectivity for rural areas are needed for this year’s budget.
Finder looks forward to witnessing a platform of technology and innovation merging for a better tomorrow at a grand event like Elecrama 2025. Our marketing and product management teams hope to explore their respective points of interest in different industry segments and have key takeaways from this experience. We also plan to see the vision and focus of EV and solar industry market leaders who will shape the immediate future of many more companies.
