We are strongly committed to a sustainable future and a circular economy, says Satyapal Singh, CEO of Numeric.
How do the recent budget announcement and allocations add value to the demand for UPS systems in the Indian energy sector?
The budget has given a strong impetus to infrastructure development and emphasized technology-driven growth. New airports, revitalised rural connectivity and strengthened or expanded rural infrastructure all result in increased demand for uninterrupted power. The demand for quality and uninterrupted power will fuel the need for efficient UPS systems.
The announcement regarding CoE for AI, 5G enabled labs will also enable uninterrupted power supply. The budget has also given a push to domestic manufacturing, which will see more investments.
Improving investments in manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure will further strengthen the UPS industry. At Numeric, we are well-placed to meet this demand across segments with a range of power backup solutions and the widest service infrastructure in the industry.
What are the potential market drivers for UPS among organised and unorganised players?
The post-pandemic world saw organised players strengthen and bring more value to aid business continuity in every industry. UPS brands that were resilient and agile withstood the challenges and emerged stronger. The increased investments in strengthening the public infrastructure, like metros and railways; improving the healthcare infrastructure; investments in data centres; and pushing for domestic manufacturing are some of the significant market drivers for the UPS industry.
Sustainable backup solutions, energy efficiency, low TCO, a compact footprint, and connected UPS will be the growth drivers.
Which technologies and upgrades are being added to your products and solutions that ensure safety and quality for your industrial and commercial customers? As a group brand of Legrand, need-based innovation and smart solutions have always been our growth drivers. Being part of Group Legrand has given us the distinct advantage of being a local organisation. We continuously innovate to meet the changing needs of the customers. Our UPS is designed to be highly efficient, giving the benefit of low TCO and energy efficiency.
Improving or maximising energy efficiency concerning electrical and thermal systems as well as optimising harmonic distortions and consuming less space leads to economic efficiency.
Whether in the industrial or commercial sectors, keeping the Opex low is a critical business goal. With the introduction of modular technology, UPS are now designed to not only operate efficiently but also to save money on energy bills and real estate. This is possible due to the high efficiency levels at which the UPS operates, the low THDi, and the compact footprint.
PWM IGBT 3-level inverter and rectifier technology with double conversion online technology make it possible to achieve maximum energy efficiency and at the same time guarantee total load protection.
As a group brand of Legrand, we are strongly committed to a sustainable future and a circular economy. Over 90 percent of our UPS are PEP-certified, which helps achieve the goals of the industry in energy savings and LEED certification.
