From certification hopes to advanced modules, Znshine pioneers solar energy solutions focusing on sustainability.
Znshine, a solar company focusing on integrated photovoltaic solutions, rooftop installations, and floating solar plants, has supplied over 4 gigawatts of solar energy, establishing itself as a key player in the industry. Mukesh Mishra from ZnShine shares insights into the company in an interview with EPR Magazine.
What is the recent progress of Znshine in the Indian solar market?
Znshine, a company with a 35-year legacy, debuted in the Indian solar market in 1988. Over the past seven years, we have made significant strides, successfully supplying more than 4 gigawatts of solar energy to the Indian market. This achievement firmly establishes Znshine as a key player in the solar industry.
We primarily focus on IP (Integrated Photovoltaic) solutions, rooftop solar installations, and floating solar power plants. In 2023, Znshine made significant progress, successfully supplying solar solutions to numerous IP and rooftop players in India, totalling over 800 megawatts. This remarkable feat positions us as the leading Chinese supplier in the Indian solar market.
Beyond solar modules, we diversify our product portfolio to serve our customers better and meet their evolving requirements. Sustainability is a key priority for the company in the Indian market. We offer a range of solar modules, including mono and bifacial, with 182m cells. We recently received BIS certification for our topcon technology, based on n-type technology, with peak power output ranging from 585 to 650 watts.
What challenges do you anticipate facing in the pursuit of your ambitious plans for high-power modules in the Indian market?
However, the company currently faces a crucial challenge. An extension from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is set to expire in March 2024. We are hopeful that this extension will be renewed for another year. We anticipate that the Indian government will grant the All Modules Matter (Allm) certification to Chinese suppliers, resolving this major issue. We have ambitious plans for the future. We are set to introduce 210m modules with peak power exceeding 700 watts, further enhancing our offerings in the Indian market. These advancements align with Znshine’s goal to provide comprehensive solutions and support sustainable practices in the solar industry.
Znshine also recognises the importance of fostering strong relationships with our customers. We offer a platform that allows direct client interaction, enabling discussions on plans and emerging technologies. This platform serves as a vital tool to connect with both large and regional customers, ensuring that their needs are met effectively.
What is Znshine’s current strategy and vision for expanding its presence in the Indian solar market?
To expand our reach and serve a wider customer base, Znshine is actively seeking distributors in various Indian states. These distributors will maintain stock to meet customers’ demands requiring smaller quantities, such as 10 megawatts, 10 kilowatts, and 5 kilowatts. Our vision is to have a distributor in each state by the end of the year, facilitating efficient access to our solar solutions for regional customers.
Remarkable accomplishments have marked Znshine’s journey in the Indian solar market. We have set our sights on continued growth, innovation, and sustainability, ensuring a bright and renewable future for India’s solar energy landscape.
