Sterlite Power unveils groundbreaking solutions for power transmission projects

Sterlite Power, a major power transmission developer and solutions provider in India and Brazil, recently introduced two cutting-edge technologies—96 Fiber OPGW and ACCC ULS Brahmaputra High Performance Conductor—to deliver dependable, secure, and highly efficient power transmission solutions. The 96 Fiber Optical Ground Wire (OPGW): This is a particular higher fibre count OPGW (optical ground wire) developed to strengthen India’s power transmission infrastructure, which must be future-ready to accommodate rising electricity demand and data traffic. This is a world-first conductor that combines special earth wire and OPGW. The innovative design blends an aluminium alloy with an ultra-low sag composite core, improving the efficiency, capacity, reliability, and robustness of the key river crossing span.
