Statcon Energiaa one of the leading innovator in power electronics won the prestigious award for renewable energy excellence at the recently held REI Expo 2022 held at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The award category was ‘Excellence in RE Storage Solutions’. This innovative product, titled ‘Microgrid Energy Corridor System’, provides uninterrupted supply to a microgrid using various renewable energy resources. It is also used to connect various microgrids through AC coupling.

Key features of the solution are it combines multiple renewables, can combine multiple renewable sources like solar, biomass, wind and micro hydro to provide seamless, uninterrupted power to the microgrid. The Plug-N-Play outdoor solution requires zero infrastructure for operation. It requires no AJB, ACDB or protections as all these are in-built. It provides battery storage to store energy using all types of external storage technologies like lead acid, gel, and lithium as well as flow batteries. It has in-built interface for diesel generators to charge the batteries and cater to loads.
Loads of smartness through IoT-based multilevel remote monitoring and control, and hence, giving operator level ease of operation. It supports both AC coupling and DC coupling to increase system scalability. The AC-AC power transfer for connecting multiple microgrids.
