Maintaining superior quality
Our unique selling point is that we are India’s first 360° post-installation solar experience, targeting both residential and commercial and Industrial solar customers. We incorporated in 2020 as a company dedicated to provide after-sales support for all solar installations using our technology.
Intello created its own hardware device and ensured product quality. The most obvious example is that all data loggers in India come with an DC adaptor that powers the device, but because the devices are all installed outdoors, their replacements are so frequent that data consistency is never maintained. The IP65 box contains an inbuilt power source for Intello devices. In our company, we have only had 8 replacements out of over 1200 devices installed.
Addressing solar installation challenges
Firstly, large project developers have dedicated maintenance teams, but captive residential and C&I captive users are oblivious to the performance of their system. This creates difficulties in developing tools to detect faults and the possibility of generation loss. To address this, we developed advanced analytics such as the Site Health Meter, which displays the site’s performance status. This enables us to compare active sites geologically and assess site conditions.
The second factor is the availability of skilled labour for rooftop installation and EPC companies for rooftop customer complaint resolution. According to one of our rooftop solar audits, 25 per cent of all rooftop solar systems are either exposed or pose a risk due to faulty wire positioning.
Intello is addressing this issue by introducing AMC packages that include thorough maintenance check-ups to ensure that solar panels and structures are tightened; appropriate cable connections; insulator, fuse, and earthing placements; conduit dressing; monitoring inverter functions and operations. We address all of these aspects in our AMC to increase its generation by nearly 30 per cent. This will also increase the lifespan of the solar system.
