After years of perseverance and multifarious challenges, in 1985, he put up a steel wire galvanising plant under the corporate entity of Nirmal Wires Pvt Ltd incorporated in 1981,” shares Nirmal Saraf, MD, Nirmal Wires Pvt Ltd (Group Nirmal).
Group Nirmal came into being under the leadership of Nirmal Saraf, Raman Saraf, and Piyush Saraf. Group Nirmal became a flourishing business in the steel products industry, focusing on steel wires and aluminium conductors.
The third generation Varun Saraf, Prateek Saraf, Vidyut Saraf, Parag Saraf and Shrishti Saraf joined in the 2000s. “The year 2003 also marked the launch of Tricon, a revolutionary product which disrupted the steel bar market. A major project commission in 2013 was our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Deulti, which consequently pushed production capacity to 1,20,000 TPA by 2021,” recalls Nirmal.
